Our laboratory is interested in the micro-physiology of tissues, and how it affects growth, development, and disease in mammalian genetic systems. We are especially concerned with the biology of hypoxia, and hypoxic response via the transcription factors HIF-1 alpha and c-jun. Please see our web site for further details concerning our work and recent publications.

Randall Johnson received his Ph.D. from Harvard University and was a Jane Coffin Childs postdoctoral fellow at UCSF prior to coming to UCSD.
