Assistant professor Lisa Boulanger has been named holder of the Professorship in Neuroregeneration. Her five-year term began on July 1, 2005. Dr. Boulanger received her Ph.D. in 1998 from UCSD, and returned to her alma mater in 2004. She is a member of the Neurobiology Section. The Professorship in Neuroregeneration was established by UCSD professor emeritus Silvio Varon to support those research areas of neurobiology that are germane to understanding the regenerative process in the central nervous system.
