Having Problems with a Prerequisite?  Need to override a prerequisite for a class?  Here's what to do!

1.  Contact the instructor.  You can find their contact information by clicking here.

2.  Email the instructor and let them know you would like to have the prerequisites for the course cleared.  You may want to let them know about any courses you have taken that have prepared you.  Your email should contain your name, PID and the course name/number.

3.  If the instructor agrees to override the prerequisite ask them to please send an email to:  prereq@biology.ucsd.edu

This email should also contain your name, PID and the course name/number.

4.  Within 24 hours of receiving the email from the instructor you will be cleared to register for the course via WebReg.  If the course is full, put yourself on the waitlist.  For waitlist procedures (Biology courses only), click here.
