BioCAP & Co-Op Program Overview

Join us in breaking boundaries and shaping the future of the life sciences industry together. Become part of a vibrant community dedicated to fostering diverse leadership in every facet of life sciences.

Co-Op Program: Students in the School of Biological Sciences Cooperative Education (Co-Op) Program gain one year of paid work experience at one of our cutting-edge BioCAP partner companies as well as concurrent accredited career development coursework. They become equipped to transition from college to a meaningful career with confidence and a strong sense of belonging in the life sciences community.

Our Co-Op Program is unlike most other co-ops because we provide career development training through an accredited course students take while working at their Co-Op company. And we are one of the first life sciences co-ops in the country!

BioCAP: Through BioCAP (Corporate Affiliates Program), we collaborate with leading life science companies to offer UC San Diego's future leaders invaluable hands-on job experience. This dynamic partnership cultivates a diverse, future-ready workforce while fostering community engagement in San Diego's thriving life sciences ecosystem and beyond.
